I have been offered a compound 3 bed room apartment in malaz area for 116K a year.
Is it too much to ask for or a reasonable rent?
The compound is newly built and the apartment is of super quality.

cheers

Not for compounds.  Compounds are expensive everywhere.

Yes, I have visited compounds in sulamaniya, olaya and malaz and 90-100k a year is the price for an average-low compound where the unit or villa(its no a villa actually when you live in a compound, a villa is actually an independent unit with its own boundary) resemebles like those outside apatments which you rent out for 30-40k. Only difference is that you have a boundary and a not so maintained pool and the gym sucks.

Upper class compound costs you minimum 170-plus.

The one i seen has facilities of upper class compound and is in malaz close the main road and inside the city and I am going for it.

Cheers
