I am planning my trip down there and I am researching different areas. I would like to live to where there is low humidty, in a small community to where I can become a part of the area and get to know the Tico"s. A low crime, laid back area with out the tourist trade and with internet access near by. Am i asking too much,is there such a place in Costa Rica ?

Thanks, Fred

I use to live in Hojancha and I would definitely recommend this place for all the things you just mentioned. Tamarindo is super touristy and full of foreigners. In Hojancha the only foreigners I knew was an Italian that opened up an awesome pizza place and a Cuban but I think he left. Hojancha is a small town great climate dry and cool not at all like the rest of Guanacaste. Nice homes, a clinic, bank, and supermarkets. There is also internet access available and I never heard of any crime while I was there, which was almost 2 years. I love this place for real!
