Finding the right job

My name is Chris and I am planning to relocate from the United States to Kuala Lumpur in early 2011.

My significant other has been offered a job by her company in KL and I am now working on finding the right job opportunity for myself.

I have spent the last four years working in health care both on the strategy and human resources side.  With extensive knowledge of the field I feel this would be the biggest asset I can offer an employer.

Does anyone have suggestions on who I might contact to discuss opportunities? Or how I might best proceed?

Is it difficult to find a Malaysian company to sponsor a work visa?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers.
Chris

Hi Chris,
I am Malaysian, used to live in USA.
If your partner is your legal wife, then it will be a lot easier for you to get any kind of visa.
It will be better for you to start looking for a job when u r still in the USA, because you will get better expat benefits.
If you look for a job when u are already in KL, then your salary will be "local" salary which is very low.
Start looking into some career/job websites you might be lucky to find something that fits.
KL is a great city to live in, food , culture, weather and cost of living is well balanced.
All the best!
