hi everyone! im kinda bored for doing nothing most of the days, so i thought maybe it would be nice to meet new people and share experiences of life being an expat, I've heard that it is quite difficult to find a belgian friend for they are too busy doing their own things. I am filipina married to a Belgan, and staying in the  Province in Perwez, I normally go to Wavre for my french lesson twice a week so the rest of the week im nowhere lol, been in the country for 2 months now and never had a friend yet,so im looking forward to meet you!or a lot better to be in a group. :)

hi All,

Im Leila, :) new in Belgium and  i just arrived a couple of weeks ago,
same situation as everybody here,  i need friends :sosad:

i was reading all the threads in forum and a lot  of people wants to have a meet up
but i think nobody is organizing it..

i came up to this idea about creating a group or organization on Facebook for meet ups..
i don't promote this site or something but its just for organizing meet ups..  ;)
i know that not everybody is logged in on this site but I'm sure everybody can be log in on Facebook..
https://www.facebook.com/expat.antwerp

feel free to go on that page and maybe we can gather all the expats in Antwerp
and we can all talk, meet and greet there..
. :) and hope someday to see all of you :)

hugs and kiss,
Leila

Hi Jien,

I plan to visit (and explore oppportunities to settle down) the Philippines in February 2015, and I would be happy to receive practical tips from you and your husband.
I am Belgian, living in Brussels, and of course happy to share any information/network with both of you.

Kind regards

Jean

Hi Jien!
My husband and I are living in the center of Brussels. So feel free to give me hail if you want to chat or have coffee or wine together somewhere... I added you to my friend list by the way, hope you won't mind.
Cheers,
Charm

Good morning Jien,

It will be a pleasure to go for a drink or something else (walking, doing another activity) when you are in Brussels :) .

Wow! Are you busy to study French?
Isn't complicated?

Wish you a good day,

Stephanie

Hello there! I' m mira. I'm currently in brussels. We're on the same boat. I've been here since august , and yet trying hard to find my fellas.

Bless888

good to know that you like philippines which city you like?

Hoeffler

Hi Bless 888 :-),

thank you for adding me in  your contacts, very much appreciated.
I like Philippines people, since I met for the first time the Philippine community when working in Denmark from 2008 to 2012; and of course when you start liking people, you quickly like their (legendary kind) personality, food, culture...and the stories you hear about their country.
I am preparing my trip for the period full month of February 2015 (I am still considering to go there in December 2014, for 3 weeks starting from 13/12/2014 on, but I was told the weather there could be not optimal - do you confirm?); cities I am considering: Manilla, Cebu, Boracay...but no exclusive...these are the ones you read about on sites...
But I would be very happy to have more advice on how best to organise: I would like a mix of circuit and at least around 1 week - 10 days rest, sun, beach... is there  any specialised tour operator in Belgium?

I would be very happy to have the opportunity to talk (phone: 0489190154, or bilateral meeting) about all this...that is what friends are for...:-)

Kind regards

Jean

Hi Stephanie,
I absolutely want to go out ang have some drink this weekend, what do you think? It would be really nice if we can invite more people so we would have more topics to discuss.
Unfortunately I have to stop my french lesson due to conflict of my schedule at work,  I am so lucky to find a job without the french or dutch language being a requirement. the distance from home to work is a bit of a problem though.
I hope to hear from you about this upcoming weekend.
   Jien,
