Libya announces the start of Ramadan

Eid al Fitr starts when Ramadan ends. It lasts for three days and these days are public holidays. If the last day of Ramadan is Sept 8 then Eid starts on the 9th. Because the moon has to be sighted there are variations in dates, so that is why it is difficult to get exact dates. You have to be flexible in planning your days off.
