I just ran across an interesting option in the Dusit Place Hotel, a pool there that doubles for public classes use.

It's an unusual facility set-up because that hotel is a training center related to their university hospitality classes training.  I've been to the informal spa there for massage many times (normal kind--Thai, foot, etc.), and just found out they also offer swim classes for kids.

So it's sort of not a hotel pool, and it seemed to be set up for lap swimming, but when I saw it there were kids in a class there.  Dusit isn't far from Phaya Thai, over beside the zoo.  Google doesn't lead straight to an English page of information (go figure) so it would take some work to find out what the options are.

The last has a review that says:  Nice pool and fitness center that cost 60 baht per day each, or 2000 baht for month long pool and fitness membership
