Document Required for Work Permit

Hello Everyone, I a sameer here. I got a job offer to work in one resort in Maldives. This is my first time to work abroad, I am excited at the same time afraid.There are a lot of questions in my mind that left unanswered.
1. What documents they actually require to get work permit for a foreigner.
2. I have already signed contract with the resort & have shared my passport details, I am concern is how long does it take to get work permit in Maldives.
3. They did not ask me for my Police Clearance Certificate to get a work permit, is it really something to worry about.
