Hiring a Dominican computer program

I know this is a long short but does anyone know what the average monthly salary should be for a computer programmer with 5 years of programing experience. Specifically C# and ASP.Net. I want to hire a programmer but I don't know what the average wages are. I want to make sure the person is paid well but that I am not taken advantage of.

Thanks... I figured it was a long shot but I thought I would ask. I am going to go to a University tomorrow and talk with someone within the computer department and find out an average salary for this type of work.
