I need 2 old bicycles as a Christmas gift for 4 poor students in HCMC

Dear all,

I am posting this in order to help my students who come from different provinces in Vietnam and all of them are quite poor. Each day they go to school, they have to walk for a very long distance because there are no buses to go through their school. Understanding their circumstance, I would like to ask if you guys have any old bicycles that you don't use, I will buy them for my 4 students. Please keep the price under 500,000vnd for each.

My contact : minhnew94@gmail.com , +84 963 015 774

Thank you very much for your attention,
Hieu Bui

And for what aged children?

Hold your thanks ... you'll get me a bad reputation ... with truck and taxi drivers.

(The bikes are Uncle Ho Version 1's with minimal accessories. Used and dusty, too.) But the price is right ... Mien Phi.

Well done...assuming you actually follow through.

Another thoughtful comment from an unemployable truck driver.

P.S. I hope you have registered with the US Gov for their tax plans - I can do it for you, if you want.

@Hieu Bui
I need an address to deliver these old bikes to (so I can locate the area on my GPS). Also, do the students speak English?

Please PM. (do you need 2 or 4 machines?)

Thank you Jaitch !
When I was student, I had a bicylce. I loved it so much, because it was associate with me in the difficul time.
But after I had a motobike, I gave it for a another student, whom I like so much.
Then she became my good friend. She helped me and my brother a lot...

Actually getting rid of the bikes means I can use the space for something that makes money. I never like throwing anything away around here as there is always someone who can use it for a constructive purpose rather than simply scrap.

A win-win situation.

They are living near me. If they cannot speak English, and if you want, I can contact them to help on translation.

Actually they can buy a very good old bike with VND400,000 - 500,000 only (I just bought one).

And Jaitch can sell your bike to the shop specialized in selling old bike. You can make a little money from that and the shop can modify the bike to make it less dangerous (if it really is, as your describe) :D
