Just wondering are the secondary schools in Malta predominantly same sex? Are all government secondary schools catholic?

All government schools are Catholic but not all secondary schools are coed.

A new school system started this year. Children aged 11\12 are now in a middle school system which is coed. Middle school will last 2 years. Children older than 12 (now) are in the old secondary system and is single sexed. All primary are coed.
