Altitude sickness

Post new topic

Sukar

Hello everyone,

My name is Yasmine and I just moved with my  husband to Kenya six weeks ago. We really love it so far. The nature is breathtaking :). However, I've felt very dizzy and disoriented since I came here and my husband says that it may be altitude sickness since Nairobi is so high up.

Did anyone else experience this after moving here. Or should it last that long? It seems to be getting worse not better.

Thanks :)

It could be but Nairobi is only 1800 metres above sea level.

I am sure it will be okay in a few days time.

I usually, notice a difference for the first few hours, but to the best of my knowledge, Nairobi is not at a high enough altitude to cause altitude sickness.
