What Salary to expect

Hi There,

Recently approached by a recruitment company for Principal Solution Architect Role for a Government managed leading Information Security Company in Riaydh. During the discussion I was asked about my salary expectations to which i answered with my current salary and the fact that I am obviously looking forward to get more than what i am currently getting. My family is not very happy with the idea of moving to KSA but as of now I am just exploring. Currently i work as Senior Solution Architect and my salary is around 210 K USD being in Australia means i pay 40% of my wages in taxes , my take home is roughly 11K USD per month/ 132K annually .

My wife is also in IT and her take home is around 8 K per month.

I have mentioned above to the recruiter and he didn't commented rather he has set-up an interview next week . Dear expats if any of  could please advise/share your experiences and opinions.

I am an Australian National of Indian Origin, bachelor and master degree in Computer Science, have done well professionally.  I am looking forward to 220 K USD + benefits for myself and hoping my wife might also get an IT Job with annual salary of 150 K  without any benefits.

Is it feasible or I am day dreaming.

I think 220K USD is too much according to ur credentials .. some between 110 KUSD would be ok

if you are receiving that kind of salary, don't move to Saudi Arabia. You're better off down under.

try to post this in couchsurfing....maybe you get what you want.
