What you think about Hue city

sensesofvietnam

So far I have been to Hue a couple of times and find that the city quite clean and romantic yet peaceful. Plus the people are very warm and friendly. If Da Lat have beautiful flowers Hue have beautiful tress and plants along streets and buildings. Some of the pictures I took along when I met some wonderful local people in Hue City. What do you think about Hue?

The best part of Hue is behind the Citadel where, usually, only VNese go because of access and it's a very VNese area.

Most of the monuments have suffered from neglect or war-tome vandalism such as the US build airport in the grounds of the Citadel and a 'pill' box the US build over a northern gateway to the Citadel.

Generally Hue is a relaxing city - except when the floods are so deep that even the guard huts on the casino parking lot disappear under water - along with the Dap Da Dam!

A must-see for everyone and not a bad place to live.

Hi Jaitch,

I think you right as my local guide took me behind the Citadel for eating and also shopping. I was able to witness the flood while I was there during rainy season. The street in front of the hotel is about two feet of water. Hue is famous for the noodle dish Bun Bo Hue. It is really good.
