Very much appreciated reading all the posts, all the posts. Been to PR 4 times but always in hotel/tourismo settings. Was a little surprised life & attitudes in the island's residential areas are not different then what the PR neighborhoods are in my major midwest city--and I worked in those hoods for 15 years. I thought it was a mainland problem.

Aside from that, very surprised to learn about your dire medical situation & "unsolvable" power problems, among others. Strong anti-gringoism in a land where a majority of citizens are on US financed public aid was enlightening but similar here.

But, a great place to visit.

Hello, dgd. Do you have any anecdotes of strong anti-gringoism?
