Hi Everyone  :)

I would like some advice please.

Can somebody tell me what Grand Gaube is like these days? Safety? general quality of the area?

I was looking on Lexpressprop and saw a duplex there ( 3 bed  , 2 bath) 110 square meters..P2 700 000. This looks like great value! ,

Or is that a side of the island you wouldnt want to be on?

My mother was born in Curepipe. I am looking to secure her a small place there in the next 1 - 3 years. (dependant on a few factors)

I have seen there are quite a few places in Flic en Flaq for around the same price but maybe the area is not so great. What are your thoughts?

Also the other main concern is health care. She is on William Russell expat cover of $1 000 000 a year so it is pretty comprehensive. What is the state of private hospitals? If she would require surgery is the standard up there with european levels or more what you would expect in Europe?

I saw your post. I, personally think that Flic en flac would be better for her. Regarding health care there are some very good private hospitals in Curepipe, such as Fortis. Check it out and let me know what you think.

HI I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT GRAND GAUBLE...I LIVE IN FLIC EN FLAC. I TASTED THE HOSPITALS AND CLINIQUE  AS WEEL HERE IN MAURITIUS, WITHOUT THE INSURENCE.
I HAVE BLOAD PRESSURE PROBLEMS AND IN THE  VICOTRIA HOSPITAL I HAD X FREE GREAT TREATMENT...I WENT TO APOLLO BRAMER BECAUSE I WAS PREGNANT WITH BLOAD PRESSURE PROBLEMS.... AND UNFORTUNATELY I LOOSED THE BABY...BUT IT WAS X NATURAL PURPOSE...ALL THE TIMES ANYWAY I MET THERE VERY GOOD DOCTORS...AS WELL AS THE PUBBLIC HOSPITAL.
I HAD TREATMENTS IN CLINIQUE APOLLO BRAMER AND WAS VERY VERY GOOD X THE PROFESSIONALITY AND EVEN X THE PRICE...THAT IS EXPENSIVE FOR MAURITIAN PEOPLE BUT .IS VERY GOOD X US.

ANYWAY IN THE LIFE   IS ALWAYS A CHANCE ...BUT I FEEL SAFETY HERE.EVEN X MY LITTLE BABY 3 YEARS OLD
...ALTHOUGHT REUNION IS 45 MIN BY AIRPLANE..AND IS EUROPE....BUT I TRUST HERE YOU CAN FIND VERY GOOD DOCTORS....MANY OF THEM STUDIED IN LONDON...OR IN INDIA.

HOPE TO HELP YOU IN SOMEWAY.
