Hey,

I was wondering how much one is to expect for a part time traineeship in the IT department. I know that a law internship is work for free, is it to be expected that there is a low wage with part time IT traineeship? Does anyone know a rough estimate?
Clarification is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

One of the companies I've worked for gave the IT Trainee a monthly stipend of Rs8000 (+ Rs1000 for transportation).
After a few months this was raised to Rs13000.
The salary for someone doing exactly the same job, but in a permanent position, if I recall correctly was between Rs15000 and Rs20000, depending on experience and the number of years of service.

Regards,

Jean Marie

Thank you for your reply

Was this a full time traineeship or part time? How long was the stipend capped at 8000MUR?

Hi... that was a full time position.
I don't recall exactly, but I think it was about 3 months or so.
