cost of living in sohar Oman

I got offer letter from oil company from oman . they offer me with OMR 1.400 rial omani per/months + family package + air ticket. my question is .. the cost living in sohar with my wife and 4 children . its suitable for that salary that i get from offer letter to live in sohar ?
1. Accommodation for 3 bedroom price ? villa or compound ?
2. Car price suitable for medium family ? Kia ( Sorento ) how much ?
3. Education school average level 2 .level 6 , level 8 ? Costly payment for that level for the School ? which school i can send my child ? recommanded for school in Sohar ?
4. Internet monthly ?
5. I have driving license from Saudi Arabia can convert to Oman license. can or not ? although final exit already
done. Can driver license ( Saudi Arabia ) valid in Oman ?

congratulations of ur offer...answers to ur quest..

1. a 3  bedroom villa u will get for 250 to 350.. if u expect a good compounded facility the palm gardens enclave is good.. but it may be in range of 300-400. if u wish cheaper there are plenty of 2bhk villas or flats.(150-250) range.

2. Car is totally ur wish. if u are gonna rent they may cost 150-200 per month.. if u gonna buy u will have to find out here ur self or online.. try oman.yallamotor.com may b a good source.

3. sorry i have no info abt Schools. there are few international schools and hope anybody else can guide u..

4.i think u get monthly packages worth 25 rials for net wifi.. anyway it depends on ur use and it may b max 30 OMR.

5. if ur saudi license is valid i guess u can change it to Oman Driving Licence... not advisable to drive oman registered cars with ur saudi license. i think thats nt allowed.
