Cooking is a hobby that I like to share with equally interested companion...

Masita

What are you cooking?

James

Hello magicman57,

Cooking is just wonderful, just as long as you keep one very important thing in mind!

EXPAT-BLOG IS NOT A DATING SITE

If it's a personal relationship you're looking for then you've come to the wrong place. There are all kinds of websites for that purpose, where you won't run the risk of having your membership cancelled without notice when looking for a date.

Cheers,

Thank you for the notice...however, that was not my intention and apologize if sounded so.

Food is a hobby....can cook arabic..chinese...italian and would like to try other culture foods....

James

Well perhaps English is not your first language, but the word COMPANION is not what you want to be using then, since it tends to indicate you're looking to share more than the interest in cooking.

Primadonna

Maybe this sounds helpful:

what is  your goal?
Cooking together, try out different dishes, inviting people who bring their food to so you can taste different meals?

What is the max of people who can join?

magicman57

I am surely looking for a "companion" with equal interest...as I do not intend to cook for the whole ex-pat community, at once at least.

You are right...English is not my mother tongue, but fail to see how the meaning of "companion" violates any rules...??

magicman57

I guess all of the above, however, if it works out with one, then others may join the fun....something like "come dine with me" on tv.

James

Nobody said the word "companion" violates any of our rules..... but I can tell you as an English teacher with a career of over 28 years now, that the word carries a sense of being something more than COMPANY.

It is used almost synonymously with the word MATE

Our language has many subtle differences sometimes it is not what you say, but rather how you say it that causes problems.

Hi everyone,

I think that it is clear now that the OP isn't looking for a date. ;)

@ magicman57 > I also suggest you to post an ad in the Hobbies, Interests in Riyadh section, it  might help.

Thanks
