EDUCATION WITHOUT FRONTIERS BENEFIT CONCERT

diddly6969

Hiya
Have joined a choir and they are giving a benefit concert on the 19th of September from 1900 hours at the AUDITORI SAN CUGAT entrance 10 euros.

If anyone wishes to come along it would be great.  There are 3 choirs with orchestra and mainly operatic songs, (carmen, la traviata and pomp and circumstance and a couple in catalan).

Also if anyone wishes to join the choir, they start again on the 20th of September in Escola pia sarria calle inmaculada 25 next to ronda de dalt at 2100 hours.  they are very interested in newcomers joining the group.

Ta ta and ciao for now

Not my kind of music at all, but Monika fancies it. So she will be there, and I'll be on babysitting duty.

Do you have to get tickets in advance, and if so how? Or do you just pay on the door?

diddly6969

the tickets are the same price on the door which is 10 euros.  There is a full orchestra and the three choirs are singing together.  there is also a beautiful rendition by the orchestra of snippets of songs from CATS which made me cry when i heard it yesterday and we sing the last one, memories in catalan!

Don´t forget, for those who would like to come and join the choir, it costs 50 euros per trimestre and they start on monday the 20th of September.  There are a few dates lined up to sing in churches etc., for different things (weddings etc) and the choir is called CORO HARMONIA and they have their own webpage.  as they say over here ANIMATE!!!

Hey Denise. I won´t be able to make it to the concert or the first weeks rehearsals as I have family over visiting. Would it be okay if I came the week after though? I´m really keen to do something fun.
