I am German citizen, married , two kids. I am getting in Germany 60000 Euros per year. So what do you think the Basic salary should I ask for it? which grade I will get. Thank you in advance.

Thank you kenjee. I will go through it, but I hope some one has or know a situation like what i explained. I really  appreciate it. Thanks again

Hi Sudad,
I am not sure about the grade. But regarding the salary: They normally ask you for the last two months of your payslip. Then they will offer you a salary a little lower than your current salary + Standard package (accommodation, car allowance, medical, children education and airfare for your annual vacation).

Anpu

Hi Anpu,
thank you for your info. I thought that i can increase my salary by 20 or 15%  . Because  i am getting now 5000 euro, i thought i can at least ask for 6000 euro as basic  in addition to other benefits. I appreciate your help

mannyd

double your asking price.

i'm not sure how Germany taxes your 5000 euros and how much will remain after tax. and i assumed that you are paying rent there. and you pay higher gas/petrol for your car.

5000 euros without tax here in Saudi is different. you get full 5000 euros equivalent.
here. you will get, as an example, 5000 euros. plus free transportation and housing accommodations. petrol is cheap.

Hi mannyd,

Thank you for your respobse to my question. Thats right that we ppay taxes, but in the sam time i got services for that , like very good Pension and very good unemployment for two years with 70%  of last salary. In addition  to that we got for every kid 200 euro per month till his 18 years old, in addition to the good education for free. I am looking for more discussion about this topic. Thanx again.

Best regards

In my humble opinion, one should come here to work for not less than double size of his salary in his home country.
Simply, you get 5K at home, get 10K in here.

sidvicious

the rule of thumb is to multiply your monthly savings by 3. considering you're earning EUR 5k per month, you should be paying a tax of roughly 35% i.e. EUR 1.75k  plus another EUR 1.25k  in rent for a 2-bed room apartment, utilities and transport. that leaves you with monthly savings of EUR 2k therefore you should ask for a minimum of EUR 6k per month plus accommodation and schooling for kids.

HEDGE

You should ask for double your present salary..Riyadh is in KSA.

Georgech81

Double your salary mate. And SABIC pays the highest salaries in the Kingdom. You should at least ask for 10000 euro + accomodation in a compound+ schooling+ insurance+ air tickets to arigin country for u and family and VIP insurance which allowes you to have access to all grades of hospitals in saudi arabia

Dear This is correct offer for 7 years of experience. As I calculated it is coming up to SAR 35,000 per month. So this is fine provided they give u housing in a compound and school fee for your kids.

Dear all,

Really I appreciate your help to provide me with these very important ibfo. I wish all the best.

Dear all and wajid_2001 ,  they told me they will give me housing  of 25% of basic salary, u said they will provide me a housing in compound ,  so the question is , if they will give this 25% allowance and i should find an Accomndation by myself either inside otor outside a compound depending on the allowance size , or within this 25% allowance they SHOULD fifind me an Accomndation for me and my family inside  acacompound , and how will be the first days when we willl move to Riyadh? Is the company will provide somewhere to live in these first days. Thanks alot.

Best regards
Sudad

You will be staying at the hotel (provided by the company) during your stay till you get your residence visa.

sudad

Thanks again kom340.

How long it takes normally and could my family stay with me in this hotel?

kom340

I'm afraid you can not bring your family on a business visa. You can invite them only after you have iqama (residence card).
In my case, it was 4 months. During this period I was coming (for 30 days) and going back home on a business visa.
But I believe it should be less for SABIC newcomers.
Good luck!

Hi Sudad,

Hotel will be provided until you get your iqamah (resident permit). In my case, only took me 2 weeks. Transportation to work will be provided during this period. Meals and laundry are also included.

For housing, you have 2 options:

a) take 25% cash and find accommodation yourself
b) ask SABIC to find you accommodation and they will waive that 25% allowance.

Most peoples are unaware that option (b) is beneficial. You may get accommodation to suit your family (i.e. number of kids) regardless the rent value. In other words, if you request 1 bedroom house or 3 bedroom house, that 25% allowance will be deducted in 'full' regardless the difference in renting value between the two. Also, the 3 bedroom house (in compound) may well exceed your 25% housing allowance but SABIC will cover it under provision that 'housing is provided by the company' as per contract (unless you prefer cash...).

Hello
Pls I would appreciate your answer regarding a similar question above.
I am Arabian living in UK, got an offer in accounting SABIC HQ.
I have 14 years of accounting and audit experience. Currently getting £6k per month before tax.
Want to understand how they calculate the salary offer. Is it before or after tax of my current salary? What is the formula for experience?

AliAhmedAli

Can u elaborate more on their matrix?
I mean how do they calculate the offer number?
