Hello, I am trying to find what events and activities there is in Malta this easter, but besides one website, and some casual news in the newspaper, I cannot find any good site that lists them all. On whatsonmalta.com, they omit a large amount (such as the motorboats race in St.Paul's Bay).

So my question would be, is there is some other website or forum I don't know about? or alternatively, what special events you know there will be this easter?

I'm having the same problem. Perhaps people could just post on here about any events that they know of? It's a start.

It may be useful to look on your Parish website,Council and Parish Council, assuming they are updated.
The activities in our village are promulgated in local shops etc. on flyers.

Two famous parades take place on Good Friday in Qormi on Good Friday and Easter Sunday in Vittoriosa.
Also Xaghra (Gozo).

I would suggest that most observances are Christian religious by default seeing as this is a Catholic dominant country.

Thanks Redmick.  The religious origin doesn't bother me.  I'm on my own with my 15 month old daughter (OH is away working) so I'm just looking for ways to entertain us both with minimal stress (parking and huge crowds being the ones to avoid).

On Gozo.

The very popular, annual Easter Egg Hunt event, organised by the Ghajnsielem Local Council, is taking place on Easter Sunday, between 2pm and 5pm, at Pjazza 10 ta’ Dicembru Ghajnsielem, next to Bethlehem’s entrance.

There will be around 3000 free chocolate eggs up for grabs. ‘Buzzy Kids’ will be providing plenty of entertainment for all ages of children, including the wizard castle, bouncy castle, merry-go round, fairy tent, rock climber, bugs bunny, train and pony rides and much more.

Entrance, entertainment and rides are all free of charge. Everyone is warmly invited to spend an unforgettable family Easter afternoon.

The event may be postponed to the following Sunday in case of bad weather on the day.
