Looking for a room or apartment for rent - temporary or long term

Hi everyone,

Does any one have an extra room for rent, or know someone who rents studios/houses/rooms on the North Coast (preferably Cabarete and nearby)? It's temporary (or not, depending on the deal).
My boyfriend is looking for a place to stay starting today probably for one or two weeks He wants to be there to look for a home for us, as his family lives in Altamira, so it's quite far to go everyday looking for houses. Or if maybe you know a great deal of a long term rental with 1 to 3 bedrooms (budget around $500/month), that would be even better =D
He's dominican and canadian, lived in Quebec for 12 years, and he's a very reliable and respectful person - speaks spanish, english and french.

This will be a hard weekend to be looking for a rental as every place will be filled to capacity due to Semana Santa. He will have better luck on Monday.  The best way to find a place here is boot on the ground and to latterly walk around the area looking for rentals, checking the local bulletin boards (Janet's market, Gorditos restaurant, Playero market in Sosua, La Playa local newspaper and such).
