Preloaded Microsoft Office

I would be interested to know if its still possible to buy Microsoft Office without having to buy the annual subscription.

Has anyone done this in Malaysia recently please?  I am looking for a smallish laptop (good condition secondhand is also an option).

You mean you want to buy the software outright?

1) Pirate copy RM10, self-install
2) Installed copy from a shop using its licence RM50
3) Retail box (Office 2010), RM497, self install

2) Retail box (Office 2013)  RM687, self-install

First delete the pre-loaded copy to avoid potential problems, then install the new one. If the pre-loaded copy wasnt started, then it can be left alone.

Thanks for some ideas. I looked at Open Source, but not sure if it prints OK. Your info gives some other options. Thanks.
