Hi,

I think it depends on your budget and what do you like to do. When I moved to Ireland I didn't know anyone in Ireland so I had to find a place to stay as soon as possible. I ended up staying at DCU campus, the building was very nice and clean but at bit expensive. The pro was that I didn't have to travel a lot to go to my lectures. The con, was that after few weeks it became a boring routine. After having a look at daft.ie I went to see some rooms and I ended up moving out to some neighbourhood with a short walk from DCU but paying less for rent.

I would recommend you to stay on campus at the beginning as it would allow you to avoid the hassle of looking for a room. Then when you are settled down have a look at more places around your college.

As said above, stay in campus to start out with... best of luck ☺
