Is this possible?

I will be coming to Malaysia to study and work part time in this year. I'm coming along with two of my friends. We have classes for only two days and we're planning to work part-time rest of the days.( We are getting a part-time approved letter from College). Will it be possible to maintain ourselves with the money we are earning from working part time? Or else we'll need to ask money from our parents every month?

What is strange is that you will be getting a student pass for a part-time course - are you using an agent?  Are you paying a fee? The rules for working on a student pass are max 20 hrs per week in study breaks of more than 7 days.

Finding work will be tough as there is a downturn in the economy and most of the work is in the hospitality industry. People a leaving because there is no work. So I think you will need to have some parental support.

Not sure where you will be based in Malaysia, but you will need to do footwork to find jobs. Use your network of other Sri Lankans to help you as well.
