We are here in Warsaw, my husband, my 3 year old son and I. We have our own businesses in the states, and will keep them running from here. We aren't looking for jobs here, so meeting new people might be challenging, but I'm hoping we can make some new friends here.
I am a fashion designer with my clothing line that is sold in stores in Canada and the USA. My husband is a poster artist, and works on comic books as well. We have very flexible schedules.
We are currently in Warsaw for 3 more weeks, and then we will be officially moving September 1st.

We are hoping to meet some people here, even maybe before we go back to the states. We are near the central station, and have a pretty open schedule.

Hi there, we are an expat family in Warsaw and also involved in design! I moved from LA to South Africa a few years ago, and our little multinational family just moved to Warsaw a few weeks ago. Would love to learn more about your plans and have a coffee!

Hello Beata and Anna,
My little family (husband and 5yo son) is considering moving to warsaw. I have recently been successful for a great job in warsaw through the company I work with in sydney. We are very unsure about the cost of living in warsaw. Can you help with giving me an idea about rental prices - nice area, 2bed flats. Also wheee will your children attend school. I have seen a number of international schools in warsaw but it's so hard to choose online,
Any help would be much appreciated and if we actually move over the summer, I would love to catch up for coffee!!

Hi Anna,

What an exciting offer! We've been looking at places and in my opinion the nicer flats only start at around PLN 3000 per month (it's entirely possible I'm a touch high maintenance on this front), though if you're willing to forego certain conveniences a place can be found for less. This also depends on how far from the center you want to live of course.

We really like Mokotów, as there are a lot of newer buildings and more expats, though for ambience I'm quite partial to Śródmieście -- both the newer section closer to the metro station Dworzec Gdanski and the older powiśle section. Wilanów has also been recommended to me as a fabulous place for expats, though we didn't look into it because it's apparently not well connected to the metro.

I can't really speak to schools as our little one is still too young, but I have noticed tons of bilingual schools in Mokotów.

It would be wonderful to meet if you decide to come out here! Please feel free to message me if I can be of help.

Best wishes,

A
