Hi Faraz,

I wanted to know it is 5k ringgits is good for the single person in petalling jaya.
A company offered me that with accomodation.
What would suggest me should I come from Pakistan here for job on this payscale.

Thanks
Zain Khan

Hi Zain,

5K + accommodation is good for single person. You can accept the offer.

Hi Faraz,

There is Dynamics AX Consulting Firm in petalling jaya city. They are offering me.
Can you please tell me about the food and travelling expense in malaysia?

Nemodot

That's low even by Malaysian standards. Assuming accommodation is shared it is equal to 6k per month before tax ( you pay tax on the accommodation)

As under 8k they have to file extra paperwork to show why so low a salary! For a single person who wants to out aside 35% of salary for a pension and save more foe other things 10k is rock bottom.

6k is what a diploma holder (lower than a degree) earns as a tutor for example (seen the salary slips). With far less hours than your employer will make you work.

@xainukk: Expenses depends on your lifestyle, but for normal life style (single) you can manage your expenses including accommodation (shared), food and transport with in 2K.

@xainukk: and by the way i am Fayzan not Faraz :)

xainukk

sorry brother mistakenly typed faraz.
Well Fayzan, accommodation will provided to me by the company.
I have seen on the internet there is train pass of 100RM for the whole month is it correct?

fayzandotcom

if accommodation is provided by the company then you can save more.
There are prepaid cards available which can be used to buy train/bus tickets and also pay tolls on highway. It depends on  your usage, how much you spend.... same like prepaid mobile connections.

xainukk

for average travelling in a month which prepaid card will i need?

fayzandotcom

you can use "Touch n GO" prepaid card.

Hi Fayzan,

This is waquar. I have been offered a job in cyberjaya, as a network engineer, with a salary of 6500 MYR.

In India my take home salary is 60,000 INR pm. should i take that offer ? I am unmarried. If i do decide to take up that offer how much will i be able to save ? As here, i am able to save 40K pm, as i live with my parents.

The job profile offered to me is good.

fayzandotcom

Hi Waqar, 6500 is good for a single person, you can easily save 4000 if you choose to live a normal life with shared accommodation.
But you may have to pay 26% tax for the starting 6 months only. You should check with HR about tax.
