Moving to Grand Gaube - is it a good or a bad idea?

Hi All -

I am in Mauritius since the middle of last year and I am intending to move to Grand Gaube, in the north region of Mauritius. Many people in my office said me that it would be a bad idea: far from PL (where my office is), shops and bus stops seems quite far from my "future" house etc. I passed my first year in PL and definitely I would like to move, the right thing would be the north. If you have any past experience in GG or you just knows the region, is it possible to share your thoughts?

PS: the house is just great, the place - where it is - seems good....

Thank you in advance -

Camille

Hi, have you tried the journey? If you're using the bus (as you mentioned bus stops) it might be a bit far to do every day in rush hour. I've just driven, and not in rush hour, and it's not too bad. Best of luck.

Its not advisable to move to grand guabe  if your not driving.
If you so much like to stay in the north then I will suggest you stay between grand baie and trou aux biches.
You can travel with the express port Louis bus.
