And it looks so innocent and friendly.

Yeah that seems about right. You just have to hold your ground. Make sure your friends or family are with you most of the time so they can understand the norm. I see tourists fall for these high prices all the time. The only thing is, to many it's a fair price since coconuts and some other products are way more expensive back home. Gangsta gangsta
