Skill assessment

Post new topic

Hi Friends,
I am applying for Australian PR and currently my application is in process for skill assessment with vetasses. The issue which I am facing is that they require official landline number and email id of all my previous employers but one of my previous employer is not doing any business and has become inactive. They do not have any established office, landline number or email id on their domain. I managed to provide them link from government website where name of that company was appearing. On said government website the email id of the company was given (it was a personal id on gmail). The fact of the matter is that I have worked there but unfortunately that company is not in active existence any more and vetasses is not ready to assess it positively in absence of landline number and email id despite of giving all kinds of evidences and declarations.

In such a situation are there any options available so that I can get my said work experience positively assessed? Please advise.

very unusual situation. you might try to explain that well to vetasses asking them what you might provide. May be provide evidence that the company was active when you gained the experience you mentioned. Maybe provide official documents dating to that period- say tax returns or records, notices of closure etc. Then track the previous owner to give his personal email.
Tough but give it a trial

Alternatively if you can contact Clients or Colleagues from when you were there, you may be able to get one of them to attest to your statements to VETASS.  This should be a copy of what you sent and have it signed as a true record from their knowledge of you and verified by a Public Notary.

Check with hem first if they will accept that  other wise as georg says, any records you have of the time you worked there.

Have you done a search for the owner on the Internet or on LinkedIn, Facebook etc?

Good luck
