Khmer women and beards/mustaches

Post new topic

Khmer women out there - how do you feel about kissing a man with  a beard or mustache? My wife doesn't like it, she says it tickles her neck. She asked me to shave it off. I have had a beard for 40+ years, only shaved it off once, and my kids ( very young at the time) ran away crying. They didn't know who I was. I grew it back, and kept it, even when my hair fell out. Now I have a goatee and mustache. To shave, or not to shave, that is the question!!!

Use a good hair care conditioner (could be leave in) on your beardy parts - stubble (even 6 o'clock shadow) is far far far more painful.

Yeah Khmer people normally don't keep a beard or mustache of any sort.  The women normally don't like it what so ever.  So if you ask a woman's point of view they would say shave.

Much the same here in Laos. My wife does not like my beard at all... :(

You seem like a man who really loves his wife. I think it is very nice from your part to consider shaving your beard. My personal advice ( coming from a guy with a manly full beard I have been sporting for years ), DO NOT SHAVE, unless it is your own decision but do not let anybody else influence it. If you want to do it for love go on, but ask yourself, is your wife making an effort to accept your beard for love's sake too?

Maybe this article might convince your wife to accept your beard ;)http://elitedaily.com/dating/reasons-wh … rd/903716/

Love is about both people accepting everything, sometimes sacrifice for the loved one also consider as a manly thing. So,shave it for the one who gonna spend the rest of her life for you. I wish I don't missed any point here, good luck  :D

After talking to some of the younger neighborhood women, and reading the posts here, I decided to shave it off. I can always grow it back if I want. The response was 100% positive! I Skyped my daughter and she was shocked - its the first time in about 35 years she has seen me without my beard. My sister liked it also.

Elsewhere for sure! Seems to add something to their experience...

I find men who shave their beards usually look a good ten years younger!!
