Hello my name is Michel

I will be moving to Budapest the first of July ( next week )
And would like some advise on where to look for an apartment
I have an idea where I want to live

I will work in Pest but not sure what district it is but it is in the south close to the Nr 3 metro line
My 2 kids will go to the french school.
So I would like to live in Buda close a metro station but not to far from the school.
Any idea on how bad traffic get in the morning to go to where the french school is ?

Can any body recommend me what area to look ?
I would like to be close to some parks for my kids to play.
Does anybody know a good agency's to for apartments in that area ?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi Michel,

I'm living on the Pest side so I'm not so much familiar with the morning traffic at Buda,  but I would recommend you to live clost to Szell Kalman ter or Deli palyaudvar,  those are nice locations with town buildings.  If you would like to live in a house than Rozsadomb is a nice place,, but fairly costy.
The main issue might be with morning traffic at Szilagyi Erzsebet fasor and Budakeszi streets as they are crowded in the morning from suburb direction due to lack of other routes. Maybe it could last 15-20 mins as I've heard so if this is an issue in the morning consider move closer to the french school.

Good luck in Hungary!

Tamas
