Is this thread discussion about making friends in Minsk? or in Sydney?. : )

Yud

Hello Sparky007,

Well seen. Effectively, it is in Minsk. May be a typing mistake on behalf of our team. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have corrected it ;)

Sparky007

Hello Yud,

No problem.  And thank you!  Just was a little confused at first.  Hope we can be able to get (locals or expatriates) to assist. :D

HONESTLY, IT SOUNDS REAL GOOD. BUT ARE PEOPLE READY TO COME OUT FOR THAT?:rolleyes:

PRINCESTANLEY

I REALLY THINK THAT IN THE FIELD OF EXPATRIATE, PEOPLE ARE THE COMMON DENOMINATOR OF PROGRESS BECAUSE NO IMPROVEMENT IS POSSIBLE WITH UNIMPROVED PEOPLE.

Hello, Hadeer. I am belorussian and I live in Minsk.
It seems that you had a bad luck. Yes, our people may seem gloomy when you see them in the streets. But have you tried to make friends with anyone? I have a few friends from abroad. One of them lived at my place for several days (couchserfing). All of them say that belarussians are very hospitable and friendly.
Just try. :)

hello friends, i had one of my business partner visiting us in India recently from Minsk and i did find her all the time looking serious. But good to hear that all people are not like that. I am planning to be in Minsk and Grodno in May end . Let me see my luck over there :-)

Hahaha.. you know, one of my friends told me just the same thing! He said I was looking toooo serious.
His words surprized me as I am not really very serious. But that's how I looked when we met, I suppose.

life4fun2

Ok , let me see you then in Minsk when i visit in 3rd week of May and let me affirm that you are really not that serious :-)

Marina_Z

I might be away end of May for the Vilnius Salsa event. :)
Anyway, feel free to write to me.
p.s. will you be giving out some sort of sertificate, verifying the level of seriousness? :)

big_man

Hi everyone!! who want to meet with (maybe)funny person pls email me! :)

life4fun2

Hello maclek, ow u doin? Can we hook up?

life4fun2

Hello minsk were r u guys?m dulling

Hey. I do not think that Belarus is not friendly people. In each country there are individuals that spoil the view of the country. But in general, all people are fairly simple and responsive.

i have been living in Minsk since a year and i have not yet found a single friends So far . Only sometimes some people(guys) trying to flirt around and it is totally weird for me.

Well you know I live in Minsk all my life and to me make friends is not that simple actually (I believe that's because I'm introvert). The majority of people I know came from 3 directions: school/university, work and Internet. If you don't get along with people at work try to find friends on the Internet. Throw social-networks you can find people with same interests. Minsk is quite boring city I think :)

Minsk actuallY verY boring citY ..seriouslY ...talking about socialize.?...i have lots of experiences on that..for example todaY theY know me n 2morrow who the heck i am for them. Lol

Hmmm, do you socialise with people suffering from amnesia? LOL

sameeta

i don't know, what is the problem with the people here..why their faces always look gloomy?
Oh i remember a song "Gloomy sunday"
wake up Minskian wake up!
LOL

vikaveg

Well, I believe they're bored too. If to be serious you must have seen high prices and low incomings of average belarusian family, so when you try to figure out how to pay for children's education dying in stuffy bus during summer or freezing to death in winter there's nothin' much to be smiling about. As for me I am often just deep in my thoughts so my face looks rather serious than gloomy :)

How about you? Do you smile to people? :D Where are you studying at? Maybe we're from the same University :)

sameeta

when im happy,  i smile..when i smile, i smile lol When i don't...i don't simple as that :) i study in Economic University in Vaneeba.
Its jst been 1 year it might takes some more time for me to know well about everything here i guess . :)

vikaveg

Ha ha see? People are just unhappy!
Well a year is quite a long time. In profile you say you're studying in Minsk, the University you named is not belarusian I believe ;)
Do you speak russian well?

sameeta

before it used to say Narkhos . Now i know it is as BGEU ie. Beloryski ekonomicheski unibersitet. I know russian a bit iiil:)

Ahmad2

Hi Belarus, I find belarus quite different , lovely people with beautiful smile... :) In minsk if you don't know russian you will be bored definately. :D
