Adopted daughter?

Post new topic

sarahngeoff

Hi
We are applying for permanent family visa, have an adopted daughter , have her birth certificate all attested and translated but my hubby says he was told they could refuse us our visa as he has heard it happening before to a family?
Surely not? We adopted her 14 yrs ago and I find it hard to believe that there are no other expat families over here with adopted children!
I'm now worried ... Does anyone know?

We got a family visa n we have a step son, it took a while longer, nearly 3 months in total , so you should definitely be able to get a visa for your adopted daughter 😀😀

Thank you, what took longer?
We have all our documents now ready to apply for yellow slip next week in Riyadh - so hoping to get it there and then as its been 5 months of hassles getting documents sorted and paperwork right from hubby's company grrrrrr!!!

The delay was because our paperwork had to go to Riyadh , to there version of child protection , as my son has a different surname to me n my husband. You may not have this problem , it took 3 weeks for this to complete and then we got the yellow slip

Thank you so much, I'm really hoping that when we go to Riyadh next week we get the yellow slip with no problems at all!!!
I just want to feel settled now... It's been a long road 😫😫😫

May I know what kind of formalities have to be fulfill. I am already in KSA and now wanted to call my family but I have a same case. Can you guide me to start the procedure?

I believe the original poster left the country as they were never allowed to get the adopted daughter an iqama.

:(  Really sad.
I thought it will be very helpful.
