Hello again,
I'm coming to Nepal next week and always try to bring books on/ in/ about the places I travel to. Can anyone recommend any books that they have read. I'm thinking about novels written in Nepal or about the country, travelogues, social histories that kind of thing.

I would advise against bringing books, or maybe bring just something to read on the plane.
Your first stop will most probably be the Thamel area, where somehow most of the not-organized-tours travelers end up, at least for the first (few) days. In Thamel you will find many second-hand and new bookstores with plenty of books on Nepal.

This would save you on kg's in your pack, and probably also on cash, since here EUR 7,00 is considered a high price for a good-looking second-hand book.
