Kuwait in September

Post new topic

gavinkuwait

Hi all, I'm coming to Kuwait in late August early September for about 10 days of work.
I'll be working indoors but still wondering what the average temperature is at that time of the year.
Also, I love Indian food, but am on a tight budget. Any recomendations for cheap Indian food, or local Kuwait food are most welcome.
I'd like to meet anyone who knows Kuwait city well and can give me advice on what to do in my spare time.

Thanks all.

Hey Gavin,

It will be well in the 40ties in September, and possibly humid on top of that so don't count on doing much outdoors.

You didn't say where you will be based at though. My favourite indian place is Thakkara which server great food for a low price, but it is a bit far if you will be staying closer to the City. Apart from that you can't go wring with Kalha for middle eastern cuisine on a budget. Let me know if you get problems googling these out.

Unfortunately the spare time options are limited if we exclude shopping and coffee/tea drinking. There are a few attractions worth visiting, but you will have plenty of time to check them out. What are your interests?

For Indian cuisine you can dine at Asias in Marina mall I can used my discount card for you loooolll!!! or in any Haya rest, its very cheap there and chicken65 is superb, there  is one in New Reggai. There is also in Miughal Mahal in Salmiya but they told me its expensive there. For arabic you can go to Khalha and Chicken Tikka both in Salmiya. There's a lot of resto in Salmiya. On your spare time, if you are on a tight budget, you can just visit Marina Beach (it is a park also), Messila Beach, go to Al Kout Mall in Faheel, just ride a bus if you want. Go to Avenues Mall and go to phase 3 and Prestige, you can even go to Arabella during the night, you can even stroll in old souk and try the shawarma and corn with lemon and pepper, or you can eat dessert in House Bucks-it is a Filipino snack house in old souk salmiya and they told me that Halo-Halo dessert there is very delicious.

Welcome to Kuwait in advance. Kuwait is hot and dry. Regarding food, since you are on a tight budget, i do not recommend you to go to the Indian restaurant in Marina mall because it will be little expensive for you. There are many decent Indian restaurants on all Kuwait areas because people here love Indian food and these restaurants are not expensive. Kuwait is very small and there is a big Indian community in Kuwait.
Good luck
