Hello,
If an American repatriated to Ghana...Will that person's children young or old AUTOMATICALLY get citizenship?

How long does it take to get citizenship in Ghana..If African American?

I suggest you look at the Ghana immigration website for information on how to become a citizen. It is usually after living in the country for at least 5 years. As for your question relating to children it is not automatic. My Ghanaian husband has a child who was born in Papua New Guinea and she can only have a residents permit. At the age of 18 I think she can then choose to become a citizen but she is already living here.

You can apply for a dual citizenship or marry a Ghanaian to be able to have those facilities. Take care
