Hi,

Anyone had any success purchasing low-cost appliances? I'm looking for a used or inexpensive microwave. I am horrified by the cost of microwaves in Malta, although I'm starting to wonder if I'm spoilt from North America because I was horrified in Norway too...

In Canada, we could purchase a little microwave for about 75 CAD - about 50 if you just want a small one. All I want to be able to do is reheat food. The lowest price microwave I've seen so far is Smart and it was 95. I tried home mate and it wasn't any better...

Any better suggestions?

There are a couple of used ones on maltapark

There's also the Bargain Magazine which has some electrical places that advertise.
