Confused about my tourist visa

Post new topic

Knut

Right, haven't called the embassy yet..plenty of time. Just trying to get some clarification, cause I got 2 answers to the same question. I'm Norwegian, coming to Bahrain as a tourist. I plan on staying for about 3 weeks. Whether I'll be leaving or not I am not sure yet, which would solve the problem as is as I would re-enter and get a new visa.

Bahrain eVisa page tells me 2 weeks, which I can extend. Contacted the Norwegian embassay in the UAE who told me 30 days if I request it at immigration, which I can extend 2 times to a total of 3 months. Multiple emails to the Bahrain embassy in London has yielded no results thus far..Well..if you know more than these disperate answers, I'd be pleased. I'll be on the blower to the Bahraini embassy eventually in any case.

Hi Knut,

As far as I know, transit visa on arrival is available for 2 weeks for all Shengen space citizens. This visa can be extended for another 2 weeks. It costs 15€ if I remember well and you have to show a valid passport and a round trip plane ticket.
The 3 month visa might be the "Business Visa" which requires that you come on behalf of a company to meet your correspondant in Bahrain. For that visa you'll need a letter from the sponsoring company.
To show some sympathy on the Embassy not repsonding, I've tried to call the Bahraini Embassy in Paris 27 times and sent them 4 emails without getting any reply  :D

Hope this was a little help !

Yours

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

Thanks again for your response to my queries on here.

Just glad I don't have to go to their embassy to get my visa..I bet that is a complete shambles. Haha
