Do they have some kind of free library where you can go and read books? or grant some kind of membership at a small fee charged.

Thanks

Almost all libraries in Bangkok are free for on-site reading. But if you wish to check the books out, you need to be a member and membership fee applies.

I assume you are looking for English libraries instead of Thai. The most recommended general purpose English library in Bangkok is Neilson Hays Library. Membership fee is THB 2,500/person per year. Another good English library is Maruey Library at The Stock Exchange of Thailand. At the top (8th floor) of Central World you can also visit Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park) which is another library.

There are other specialized libraries focused on design subject, such as Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC) in Emporium Shopping Mall and SCG library at Crystal Design Center (CDC).

Thai language book libraries are located all over the city. You can even find one inside Lumphini Park.

Hope the info helps.
