Ways to Pull Back An Engagement

Post new topic

1) What are the ways to pull back or break an engagement if it is forced by the families?
2) Can someone doesn't go home and renew his visa, IC and passport, without sponsors?
3) Can someone arrest his son from abroad?

its quite strange that your "soulmate" did not explain to you the dynamics of his culture. He knows his family more than you do, and he should know if his family would be accepting of any woman or ONLY a woman from his tribe/background. It is very common for arabs to stick with their own, sometimes there is an exception. The boys that grow up to be men respect the wishes of the family and often do NOT go against their will. therefore, marry those that the family finds suitable for them. so, with your questions, i see that you may be a bit naive in understanding this.  so how to break an engagneemnt- they are not broken. therefore the follow-up questions are almost irrelevant. I do wish you to the best, and I see only one logical solution, marry her and you as this is permitted in islam.

He explained to me before that it is common that they get married with their cousins or relatives but there are exceptions too. He has relatives who get married with Afghani too. We believe, and we hope that there must be a way that we can be together...
Is it possible if he comes back himself without getting engaged to someone he doesn't even like? Will he be driven from his family forever?
