Transfering money from NZ to South Africa

Hi
I need some advise on the transferring of money from NZ to South Africa. Is it a difficult process?
Money to a family member as a birthday present etc... I heard that it can be quite tricky
to pay money into someone's account.

I suggest that you check out Western union which operates in SA. You send the money to the person themselves and they can pick it up(with required ID and transfer number) in an hour.

If you have internet banking and the persons bank account details you may be able to transfer money that way. Usually take 3 days.
