Chances of getting a job in malaysia

This is very vague. You dont even say what sectors you have experience in.

IT jobs are possible in Malaysia, as well as some Oil and Gas sectors, and specialist construction e.g. tunnelling and building railways. Robotics is another other and specialist science areas. Most other sectors do not hire foreigners locally but sometimessecond. The company-set up rules and paid up capital are one major reason not to mention the current uncertainty in the country.  Chances are slim. Devaluation of the Ringgit Malaysia makes salaries less attractive. They are low anyways. COL is 30-35% higher than India.

Thanks for your kind reply. my experience is mostly in financial sector working for banks. Could you please advice me if there are enough job consultancies where i can approach to find suitable job opportunities?

Banking and Finance are virtually closed to non-Malaysians. Only secondments bring foreigners in. Its a career of choice here, so plenty of candidates, trained in Malaysia and overseas. Very slim chances. The international agencies may consider, but from what I see only senior positions, e.g. robert walters

Virtually zero chance in Malaysian banking unless sent - some ASEAN expats work in retail banking but often due to swap arrangements and due to Malaysian banks owning foreign banks. These people were hired for specific skills.

To be brutally honest MBAs are a waste of money these days (unless Harvard or INSTEAD etc). It makes no difference to your chance of being hired unless you did an MBA at an AMBA accredited school after many years focused management experience at senior level. Experience is the key and contacts. So if it is a decent MBA(min AMBA)  flag it up otherwise just leave it on your CV and focus on stating what skills you really have.
