Hi,

My phone is locked to three. Anyone know if it needs to be unlocked or will any local maltese companies sims work ?

It will need to be unlocked to use a Maltese SIM card call three and they should unlock it for you - they were offering free unlocks

Generally locks only work in UK hence stolen phones work fine in Nigeria etc. But to be sure I would unlock it, I did mine. About 10 quid at a market stall

I had 3 unlock an iPhone 5 for me free earlier this year, my son gave me the phone and there was no problem at all.
More recent phones from 3 were unlocked from the day they were registered.
