Bringing money to india when i am going final exit on visit visa

Hi all,
kindly help me to above subject..
i am on visit visa and i am finishing my 6 months on monday (24th aug 2015). Can i bring 18500 saudi riyals along with me to india (any problem with custom officer in dubai airport or indian airport?) as my visit visa is expiring on 24th aug 2015.
your urgent response will be highly appreciated.

It"s unlikely that somebody here knows the rules regarding travelling with large amounts of cash Saudi, UAE and India. So you better post on the respective countries' sub-forums instead of this general one.
Just a note: Carrying cash is never safe, so better consider a bank transfer instead!

Amounts exceeding US$5000  must be declared on arrival.

Hi Asim,

According to IATA, for India Customs, Currency & Airport Tax regulations

You have to foreign declare currency amounts exceeding
USD 5,000/equivalent in cash,
or USD 10,000/equivalent in traveller's cheques

Keep in mind that for local currency INR, as a resident of India, you can take along upto INR 7,500, not more.

These are the rules according to 2013 update. In case another expat knows of any changes, please update.
