Mailing a package of meds to the USA

Post new topic

Hi,

A friend asked me to mail her a box of meds back to the USA. Any idea if this is done? She just wants some basic things like prednisone, a steroid for her asthema, ventolin and tylenol w/ codein for personal use. She's uninsured.

Does anyone have experience with this? Would the Vietnamese post office send it out? Would the States reject/seize it?

are you referring to importing medicine from VN? There's too much regulations that the FDA and DEA would not like people doing this from overseas. I'm sure US CBP would confiscate the medicines before they could make it to your friend's door step.

Idk-- importing is a term used for trade and commercial intent. This would be like 6 months supply of medication-- some OTC, others prescription.
It'd certainly be declared in the customs forms since the VN post office packs it.

But I've also heard that there are other international courier services that can send such things.
