Hi,

Moving abroad is an adventure for both parents and children: settling overseas is a challenge for each family member.

How was the move to Kuwait for your kids?

How did they manage to adapt to their new environment?

Share with us your experience and advice on settling in Kuwait with children.

Thank you in advance,

Priscilla

What kinds of clubs or sports, extra circular activities are there? Hockey, soccer, dance, gymnastics, swimming etc?
Thanks

Hi,

We have moved as a family thrice in the last 7 years and we have two kids under the age of 10. I believe we made a mistake with our last move when my daughter was 6 years old as we did not discuss this adequately with her. She did look forward to the move, however, the reality of leaving behind friends and trying to make new ones was a challenge she (and us) had not prepared for.

Urging parents to talk to your kids about any planned relocation. If you think you have a million things to worry about in the relocation - they have a million and more. It is very important to them and we need to recognize and deal with it.

My daughter did settle well eventually and made new friends.

Hope this helps.
