Hi,
My name is Julie and I desparately want to live in a tropical place.  I considered island living but think I would rather live on a continent on the Carribean sea and I keep hearing wonderful things about Belize.  I hope to make a trip to Belize in April or May.
I want to own a coffee shop or beach bar and live a life of much less stress than I am now.
Can anyone give me an idea of the best places to visit to see where I may want to live?.
I would really like a medium size place.  Some tourists but not completely touristy, inexpensive, but with potential to make a modest living.
I am so excited to visit Belize, I can't wait til spring.
peace,
Julie

Hi Julie, I would suggest you check out the BTB AND BTIA sites or belizegovernment.org . San Ignacio and San Pedro have large expat community`s, Corazol has as well. I have lived in Belize for 40 years so if I can help ask away. Mary

Hi Mary,
Where are you originally from?  Is it easy for a US citizen to move there?  I really want to start a business and will be looking for info on the subject. Thank you for the suggestions. I will check them out.

Julia,
Do you have a website for your inn? I would love some more information on it.  I would like to communicate with you and others, especially women business owners, about owning a business. Would you be willing to communicate via email? Thank you got your reply.

I just uploaded some pics of our Inn still working on our website. We are located in Orange Walk on #80 Otro Benque on the main coming from Corozal. The town is very peaceful with a few modern places. Invitation to you anytime from one expat to another. Where can I send you my email? How do you do a friend request?  Julia

not sure about the friend request. email me at jrogers16@hotmail.com. I really want to come down in the spring or summer of 2011.  It will depend on my potential partner and if he is able to at that thime.  I am hoping he will start the business with me. I am a bit nervous about moving to a foreign country and starting one up myself but it might end up that way.  I look forward to seeing your website.  I used to design websites a long time ago.  I may be able to assist you if you have any quesitons.
