Working as a freelancer in Russia

Post new topic

Kenjee

Hi,

A lot of expats dream of becoming self-employed: we would like to help you to make that dream come true.

Can foreigners work as self-employed in Russia? What are the formalities to work as a freelancer?

What are the pros and cons of this status: social security, tax system, etc.?

How is the freelance market in Russia?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience,

Kenjee

@Kenjee

possible IF you can obtain a residence permit allowing you to work

dec2024=release of the ideologic visa=easier

then _ _ _

you need a lawyer (or a trustworthy russian able to do the paperwork with you)

you need a russian general director for your company (usually the lawyer)

you need an accountant (+/-25000₱/month...or more ...)

a notary agreeing to work with a "foreigner"

you need an "official"adress (your gf's wont work)

you need something like 30.000₱ in a bank account dedicated for your company

you need a name and a line of work

you need to wait the time of the bureaucratic treatment ... and already pay the bills

=5000€ miiiiiinimum !!!

and ... speak russian is a plus-plus , wake up early work hard is a plus , be smart is a plus

good luck
