I’m moving in less than a month to Bogota. I’ve been doing lots of research and spoke to my doctor. He recommended the Typhoid vaccine and Yellow fever. Did anyone here get either of those vaccines? I think Typhoid might be worth it, but being in a major metropolis I can’t imagine needing yellow fever. It is quite costly here.

I appricate all info! I look forward to my new locale!

In UK yellow fever vaccine is 55 GBP (August 2015). There is a walk-in clinic at Bogota airport where you can get it done for 50,000 COP about 11 GBP. So i did that.  They give you an official certificate valid for ten years worldwide and 20 years inside Colombia. Nurse in the UK told me that the World Health Organization were goign to change the certificate validity soon to be valid for life since the vaccine is effective for life.  I got it in case, but you wont need it in Bogota because it is too cold for mosquitos.  here is the link for the airport clinic.  http://eldorado.aero/en/services/health-services/
